Asia trades mixed with eyes on Fed
Equities in Asia-Pacific traded mixed despite getting broadly positive cues from Wall Street, where markets closed higher buoyed by the anticipation that the Federal Reserve might refrain from raising rates at its next monetary policy meeting.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng went down by 0.47% at 4:20 am CET, while, on the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite lost 0.10% and the Shenzhen Composite added 0.24%.
The dollar stood flat against the yen, going for ¥146.5985 at 4:21 am CET, as Australia's S&P/ASX 200 fell by 0.13%. At 4:22 am CET, South Korea's Kospi Composite decreased by 0.41% and Japan's Nikkei 225 went up by 0.47%.
