Asia-Pacific trades mixed with data in focus
Major stock market indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded mixed on Wednesday after Japan observed another annual rise in producer prices. Investors also remained focused on the upcoming report on the United States inflation, notably due to its links to the Federal Reserve's subsequent decision on interest rates.
Japan's Nikkei 225 stood flat at 7:16 am CET as the dollar rose by 0.19% to the yen at 0 am CET to sell for ¥147.3680. A minute later, South Korea's Kospi also stood flat. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.61% at 7:17 am CET.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite decreased by 0.78% at 7:03 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite sank by 1.42%. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng stood flat at 7:18 am CET.
