PM: Poland may increase restrictions against Ukraine

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki threatened on Wednesday with a possible extension of the ban that controls imports of Ukrainian grains to Poland if Kiev proceeds with the legal actions taken at the World Trade Organization (WTO) and possible further measures.

Speaking to Polsat News, the prime minister said more products could be added to the restrictions in a sign of disagreement with the plan announced on Tuesday by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on embargoing "some categories of goods from" Poland and Hungary.

"We were the first to do a lot for Ukraine and therefore, we expect our interests to be understood. We will defend our interests with all determination." "We do not agree with any procedures or lawsuits brought against us, because it means that the Ukrainian authorities do not understand the destabilization of the Polish agricultural market", Morawiecki objected.
