ECB's Knot doesn't see rate hike at next meeting
European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council member Klaas Knot told the Dutch broadcaster Radio 1 that he doesn't see the bank increasing its interest rates at the next monetary policy meeting.
"I think interest rates are currently at the right level for us and I don't think we need to change them in the very short term," Knot explained.
Nonetheless, the policymaker underlined that the ECB will continue to closely monitor the situation. Last week, the bank raised its key interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point.
