Meta rolls out multiple profile feature for Facebook
Meta Platforms Inc. revealed on Thursday in a blog post that Facebook users can now have "multiple personal profiles" on the social media platform.
"Creating multiple personal profiles lets you easily organize who you share with and what content you see for the various parts of your life," the company explained. Customers will now be able to separate their "personal and professional relationships" if they wish to.
The feature will be available for some starting today and will be rolling out in the next few months until it's completely available everywhere in the world. Users will be allowed to connect up to four profiles. "When you create an additional personal profile, its settings are automatically set to default settings, notification and privacy settings from one profile don’t carry over to your other profiles," Meta explained.
