WH: US to announce a new package to support Ukraine
United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said on Thursday that President Joe Biden will announce today a new military package to support Ukraine in its counter-offensive that "includes additional ammunition for US-provided high armor systems, anti-armor capabilities, artillery, ammunition, and more DPICMs [dual-purpose improved conventional munition]."
During a press conference, he clarified that the Biden administration has no plans to supply Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to Kiev. However, he did not rule out the possibility of providing it in the future.
To further bilateral efforts, a special representative for Ukraine's economic recovery, Penny Pritzker, will be introduced whose main task will be to "engage private sector, partner countries and Ukrainian counterparts to generate international investment in Ukraine... [and] to improve the business climate in the country," Sullivan added.
