WTI climbs 1% on Russian diesel export ban

Crude oil prices rose on Friday as concerns over the commodity supply continued to grow following Moscow's decision to temporarily restrict the export of petrol and diesel to all countries outside a circle of four former Soviet countries.

Russia underlined that the limit will remain in place until the prices on the domestic market stabilize.

For November contracts, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) gained 1.04% to sell at $90.56 a barrel at 6:02 am ET. Brent, for the same month's settlements, added 0.83% to sell at $94.04 per barrel.
