Netanyahu: Saudi deal would change Middle East forever
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that an agreement leading to the normalization of relations with Saudi Arabia would be a "quantum leap" that would "change the Middle East forever." On Friday, he told the United Nations General Assembly that the two countries are "on the cusp" of reaching a deal.
Netanyahu told CNN that establishing ties with Saudi Arabia would enable the creation of a "corridor of energy pipelines, rail lines, fiber optic cables, between Asia through Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates." However, he did not provide details on the concessions he is prepared to make to Palestinians as part of the potential deal.
