UK notes leadership turmoil in Russian airborne regiment
The British Defense Ministry in its report on the Ukraine-Russia conflict on Saturday brought attention to a concerning trend in the leadership of one of Russia's prestigious airborne regiments, which faced turmoil over the past year.
At the 247th Guards Air Assault Landing Regiment, the past three commanders have resigned with one likely killed.
"The experience of the 247th highlights the extreme attrition and high turnover in Russia's deployed military, even amongst relatively senior ranks," the ministry stated.
