Ukraine pushes Russian forces out of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in its daily update on Sunday that Russian forces have been driven out of the village of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast and that Ukrainian troops have secured the area. In addition, Ukrainian air defenses shot down 14 out of 15 Shahed drones launched by Russian forces.
Ukraine said over 20 combat clashes took place during the last day. In addition, Russia carried out five missile and 57 air strikes, as well as 38 attacks from rocket systems both on the positions of Ukrainian troops and on civilian objects. There are reports of casualties among the civilian population and infrastructure damage.
