Verstappen wins Japanese Grand Prix
Dutch Formula One driver Max Verstappen clinched victory at the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday, after starting in pole position and leading his opponents from start to finish of the race.
McLaren's Lando Norris finished in second place in Japan, while Oscar Piastri clinched third, delivering a double podium for the team.
This win marked Verstappen's 47th career victory and came as a strong rebound following his loss at the Singapore Grand Prix where the Dutchman failed to secure his 11th consecutive victory. His performance at Suzuka also gave Red Bull its sixth constructor's championship and its second consecutive crown. "The most important thing was to win the constructors', so I'm very proud of everyone working at the track but also at the factory," Verstappen said after the race.
