H. Clinton: Putin could try to interfere in US elections again
Former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned Russian President Vladimir Putin could try to interfere in her country's 2024 election like, in her belief, he did in 2016.
"He hates democracy. He particularly hates the West and he especially hates us. And he has determined that he can do two things simultaneously. He can try to continue to damage and divide us internally, and he's quite good at it," Clinton told MSNBC, stressing that Putin interfered in political processes in many countries other than the US.
"Part of the reason he worked so hard against me is because he didn't think that he wanted me in the White House. ... [P]art of the challenge is to continue to explain to the American public that, you know, the kind of leader Putin is," Clinton noted, saying that certain people are ready to cast their votes to "dictators. We can't allow that to proceed."
