Erdogan: Netanyahu's visit likely in Oct-Nov
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will probably visit Turkey in October or November. The two leaders met for the first time on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly last week after Netanyahu canceled a planned trip to Turkey in July due to health issues.
Erdogan also told reporters that Turkey's purchase of F-16 fighter jets from the United States could be facilitated if embattled Senator Bob Menendez, who opposed the sale, steps down. He said the sale of the aircraft is not linked to Turkey's ratification of Sweden's NATO bid, and that the Turkish parliament will approve it if Sweden "stays true to its promise."
