Morrisons CEO David Potts to step down
David Potts, chief executive of Wm Morrison Supermarkets Limited, one of the largest British supermarket chains, is stepping down from his position after nine years, the company announced in a press release.
Rami Baitieh, former chief executive of Carrefour, a French multinational retail and wholesaling corporation, will replace him, taking up the new role in November.
"I look forward to building on David's strong legacy of always putting shoppers first," Baitieh noted, thanking him for his help in the transition, as they will work closely to ensure "a smooth handover period."
