Trump: We are begging countries to give us fuel
Former United States President Donald Trump remarked at a rally in Clinton Township, Michigan, that his nation used to be "energy-independent" during his tenure while now "we are begging countries to give us gasoline."
Trump stressed that the US has enough reserves to grant it energy independence. He went on to accuse his successor Joe Biden's administration of not using those and instead turning to foreign countries such as Venezuela for help.
Trump urged the heads of major automobile factories in the US to endorse him as, if he gets re-elected in 2024, they will "just have to sit back and watch as our auto industry reignites booms." He described the option of them endorsing Biden as a "suicide" from a business point of view.
