Kuleba: Kiev determined to resolve grain crisis
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Thursday that Ukraine is "absolutely determined to end" the current crisis provoked by Russia's withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative. Earlier this month, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia announced they will unilaterally extend bans on cheap Ukrainian grain exports to protect their farmers, provoking a strong reaction from Kiev.
"We are working with the European Commission. We have sent clear signals to Poland about our determination to resolve this situation constructively. We do not need this grain war and neither does Poland," Kuleba told Interfax Ukraine. He hinted that the reason Poland, Hungary and Slovakia have not found solutions for Ukrainian grain is political, noting that Bulgaria and Romania have decided not to extend their original bans.
