US Q2 economic growth confirmed at 2.1%
The gross domestic product (GDP) of the United States expanded 2.1% in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the same period the previous year, according to the third estimate from the Bureau of Economic Analysis published on Thursday.
The latest figure is in line with the second projection. The price index for gross domestic purchases rose by 1.4% in the second quarter, 0.3 percentage points down compared to the previous forecast. The headline personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index and the PCE price index excluding food and energy prices were left unrevised at 2.5% and 3.7%, respectively.
The US economic growth was revised by 0.2 percentage points up to 2.2% for the first three months of 2023.
