Europe opens up with unemployment in focus

Stock market indexes in Europe opened higher on Monday as investors awaited the latest reading on Eurozone unemployment. The latest report on the United Kingdom's housing prices showed an increase of 5.3%, while data on PMI for the Euro area, UK, and Germany will also be published later in the day.

The DAX increased by 0.25% at 9:01 am CET with Vonovia SE up 1.10% at 9:02 am CET. At 9:01 am CET, the FTSE 100 was up by 0.18% with Bae Systems PLC gaining 2.43% at 9:02 am CET. The CAC 40 increased by 0.35% at 9:01 am CET as Dassault Systemes SE went up 1.22% at 9:02 am CET. The Eurostoxx 50 increased by 0.18% at 9:03 am CET as Infineon Tech AG increased by 1.29% at 9:15 am CET.

The euro was up 0.10% versus the dollar at 8:58 am CET to sell for $1.05854. At the same time, the pound sterling increased by 0.06% against the greenback to sell for $1.22121.
