US turns mixed with Powell's speech to come
United States stock markets turned mixed in the premarket trade on Monday ahead of manufacturing activity reports, which are expected to show the sector remained in contraction territory in September. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will also speak later in the day as investors look for clues about future interest rates.
The Dow Jones lost 0.12% at 7:50 am ET, the Nasdaq 100 was up by 0.09%, while the S&P 500 declined by 0.08%.
The euro traded 0.38% lower against the dollar at 8:02 am ET, going for 1.05334.
