Biden speaks with allies to 'coordinate' support for Kiev
US President Joe Biden held a telephone conversation Tuesday with allies and world leaders to "coordinate" support for Ukraine, the White House said in a statement.
The President was joined on the call by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Polish President Andrzej Duda, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen among others.
The news comes as the Biden administration is working to reassure its allies that war assistance to Kiev will continue regardless of the growing number of Republicans in Congress who oppose it.
