Crude prices up over 1% on supply jitters

The prices of crude for front-month contracts climbed on Wednesday as the growing tensions in the Middle East and the disruptions of oil exports from Russia and Kazakhstan due to a storm exerted pressure on the commodity prices ahead of the upcoming OPEC+ meeting.

At 5:48 am ET, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for January settlements increased 1.36% to trade at $77.45 a barrel. Brent for the same month's deliveries gained 1.18% to $82.64 per barrel.
