Asia trades lower after manufacturing reports

Major stock markets in the Asia-Pacific traded with losses on Friday following fresh reports on the manufacturing sectors in Japan and China. Japan's manufacturing continued to contract in November, with its activity falling behind October's figures. Meanwhile, China's manufacturing returned to growth, recording the highest PMI in three months. In other news, Japan's unemployment fell to 2.5% in October, according to government data.

The Nikkei 225 declined by 0.11% at 3:23 am CET, the Kospi Composite dropped 0.93%, the Hang Seng was down 0.76%, and the S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.39%. In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite decreased by 0.35% at 3:24 am CET, and the Shenzhen Composite fell by 0.85%.

The dollar traded 0.31% lower against the yen, going for 147.76750 at 3:25 am CET.
