Asia trades higher after BoJ remarks

Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded with gains on Wednesday after Bank of Japan (BoJ) Deputy Governor Ryozo Himino stated that the bank would have to keep its accommodative monetary policy until inflation reaches the target level and remains stable.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 closed 1.65% higher, while Japan's Nikkei 225 surged 2.04% at the close. In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite was flat at 7:16 am CET, and the Shenzhen Composite increased 0.62%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng added 1.11% at 7:18 am CET, while South Korea’s Kospi Composite was up 0.19%, simultaneously.

The dollar was flat against the Japanese yen at 7:18 am CET, selling for 147.16000.
