Europe opens higher with data in focus

Major stock markets in Europe started Wednesday's session in positive territory as investors focused on incoming economic data from across the continent. Before the bell, German factory orders were reported to have fallen 3.7% in October, while figures on Eurozone retail sales are due later in the day.

The Euro Stoxx 50 rose 0.24% at 9:00 am CET. Adyen, up 2.62%, led the gains.

The DAX added 0.17% at 9:03 am CET. The best performer was Infineon, whose shares climbed 2,05%.

The CAC 40 increased 0.18% at 9:00 am CET as ArcelorMittal gained 1.19%.

The FTSE 100 added 0.07% at 9:00 am CET with Anglo American jumping 2.23%.

The euro lost 0.06% against the dollar to sell for 1.07891 at 9:01 am CET, while the pound gained 0.10% compared to the greenback to go for 1.26065 at the same time.
