US rises premarket after data, Yellen's remarks

The United States stock markets were up in the premarket trade on Wednesday following positive data reports. The number of job openings decreased in October, with the number of hires stagnating, signaling a potential cooling in the labor market. The business activity survey showed a slight uptick compared to the previous month. In addition, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said she sees no recession signs and praising the resilience of the economy. More data reports will be released later today, including the ADP employment figures, mortgage applications and trade balance.

The Dow Jones increased by 0.08% at 4:23 am ET, the Nasdaq 100 added 0.36% at the same time, and the S&P 500 was up by 0.22%.

The euro traded flat against the dollar and sold for 1.07952 at 4:24 am ET.
