Israel intercepts missile in the Red Sea

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed on Wednesday that its long-range Arrow air defense system intercepted a surface-to-surface missile in the Red Sea area. The missile is believed to have been launched from Yemen's Houthis.

"After a report of sirens sounded in the city of Eilat (Red Sea coast), a surface-to-surface missile was launched towards Israel, which was successfully intercepted in the Red Sea area by the Arrow missile defense system. The target did not cross Israeli territory and did not pose a threat to civilians," the military stated.

The IDF also mentioned that it has been bombarding "Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon with artillery and tank fire since this morning" in response to ongoing attacks by Hezbollah on northern Israel.
