Amazon plots grocery subscription for premium users Inc. disclosed plans on Thursday to possibly launch a new grocery subscription service for $9.99 a month for United States Prime program members. The service would provide unlimited grocery delivery from Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh for purchases over $35, CNBC wrote citing the e-commerce giant.

The plan is to test the service in several states in the country, including Colorado, California, and Ohio. "We're always experimenting with features to make shopping easier, faster, and more affordable, and we look forward to hearing how members who take advantage of this offer respond," Amazon's physical stores business head, Tony Hoggett, stated.

Last month, Amazon enabled all customers irrespective of their subscription status to order groceries from Amazon Fresh for delivery or free pickup across the United States.
