No-deal Brexit bill adopted by British MPs

United Kingdom MPs have voted in favor of the bill that seeks to delay Brexit until January 31 and obliges the prime minister to secure a deal with the European Union before the country can withdraw from the bloc.

A majority of 327 voted for the bill while 299 were against.

Unless a Brexit deal is reached with the EU and adopted in the House of Commons by October 19, the prime minister will have to ask Brussels for another extension.

The bill will now go to the House of Lords for approval.
