No stimulus would be 'bad news' - Fed's Rosengren

President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Eric Rosengren stated on Wednesday that the economic recovery in the United States is showing signs of slowing down, and stressed that failure to agree on added stimulus would be "bad news."

Rosengren noted that he expects the economic slowdown to continue and underlined the importance of ongoing support in counteracting the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

He also advised caution on state reopenings, asserting that complete economic recovery isn't going to be achievable as long as the virus poses a significant health risk.
