Over 3,400 detained at Navalny protests - watchdog

Russian human rights organizations OVD-Info Group stated on Saturday the police had detained more than 3,400 people, 600 of them in Moscow, during the protests against the arrest of opposition politician Alexey Navalny.

Navalny's wife Yulia was among those detained, though Sputnik later reported she was released in the meantime.

The Russian Foreign Ministry accused the United States of organizing the protests by posting information about them on the website of their embassy in Moscow.
