Pelosi says USMCA breakthrough may be imminent

Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi (pictured) said on Thursday the talks on the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) were moving "positively", stating a breakthrough could be "imminent".

Pelosi stated enforcement of the agreement remains the main issue, echoing earlier statements. US President Donald Trump previously criticized Democratic lawmakers, claiming USMCA should have been ratified earlier.

Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Robert Kaplan said at the beginning of November he expected the USMCA be signed in the next six months.
