Pelosi: Will move to impeach Trump if wrongdoing found

Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi stated on Wednesday that if the investigations carried out by Democrats determine that there was any wrongdoing on behalf of President Donald Trump, the House will need to launch impeachment proceedings.

"If the goods are there, you must impeach," Pelosi told a reporter who asked whether there is an alternative way to censure the president. However, Pelosi said earlier this month that the House Democrats "are not even close" to supporting the start impeachment proceedings against Trump. She also allegedly refused House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler's request to launch impeachment proceedings, saying instead that she would like to see Trump in prison.

Turning to other issues, Pelosi said that the last thing the country needs is Trump threatening the chairman of the Federal Reserve, referring to the president hinting yesterday at the possibility of demoting Jerome Powell after today's interest rate decision.
