Pence: Beggining to see glimmers of progress

United States Vice President Mike Pence stated "glimmers of progress" with regards to the COVID-19 outbreak are becoming noticeable in the country.

"We are starting to see cases, and most importantly losses begin to stabilize," Pence noted during a press briefing of the White House Coronavirus Task Force on Sunday. He said the US federal states of Oregon and Washington are "leading by example," commending the two for forwarding several hundred ventilators as the number of statewide coronavirus infections started decreasing.

Oregon previously sent 140 ventilators to New York City, while Washington Governor Jay Inslee said the state will be sending 400 ventilators back to the national stockpile to be redistributed.
