Pentagon reportedly probing Boeing staff credential issues

The United States Department of Defense has been probing the issues relating to the Boeing Company's workers operating on the production of current and future Air Force One jets without the security credentials necessary for the job, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday citing a Pentagon official and another source with knowledge on the matter.

The Pentagon official shared that the institution, in partnership with Boeing, has been investigating for how long a number of staff, working on the planes US President Joe Biden is now using as well as those being currently developed in San Antonio, have been doing so with expired security credentials. In certain cases, the Boeing employees’ so-called Yankee White security credentials had expired months and years ago, one source confirmed.

As per sources, around 250 Boeing employees are included in the examination. An Air Force spokeswoman said that the officials are looking into errors made in personnel tracking, and why the company failed to submit renewal requests.
