PepsiCo's revenue up 9.3% to $16.2B in Q1

PepsiCo Inc. announced on Tuesday that its net revenue in the first quarter of 2022 was $16.2 billion, increasing 9.3% compared to the same period the previous year.

GAAP diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter jumped 148% to $3.06, while adjusted EPS rose 7% to $1.29. Meanwhile, GAAP net income was $4.3 billion.

"I am very proud of how our people and business have performed while operating in a dynamic and complex environment due to the ongoing deadly conflict in Ukraine," said Chairman and CEO Ramon Laguarta. The chairman noted that the company expects revenue in 2022 to increase by 8%.

PepsiCo shares gained 0.92% in premarket trading after the release of the report.
