Philippines hit by 5.6-magnitude quake
A 5.6-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Philippines on Sunday, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The epicenter was 71 kilometers south-south-east of the city of Legaspi, home to around 179 thousand people. The tremor struck the region at a depth of 300 kilometers and it remains unknown as of yet whether it resulted in any casualties.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported the same earthquake at a magnitude of 4.6.
