Police fires live bullets at protesters in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Police shot protesters trying to block the road in Sai Wan Ho district, local media reported on Monday. The unarmed men were hit with live bullets during riots in the residential area on the northeastern shore of Hong Kong island.

Protesters are expected to block the major roads in Chinese autonomous territory as the anti-government protests continue for the 23rd consecutive week. On Friday, Hong Kong University student Chow Tsz-lok lost his life falling from the car park in Tseung Kwan O after the confrontation with the police forces, which sparkled the social unrest in the city.

Last week, four protesters were wounded after one civilian stabbed them using a kitchen knife during the clashes between the police and the protesters in the CityPlaza mall in Tai Koo district.
