Porto knock Juventus out of CL, reach quarters

FC Porto qualified for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, emerging victorious from the second leg of their last-16 encounter with Juventus FC, despite losing the match played Tuesday 3-2.

With goals by Sergio Oliveira, the Portegues Liga champion managed to hold off its Italian opposition. The central midfielder scored the game's first goal in the 19th minute of play and came back to cement his team's place in the league's top eight in extra-time, after Federico Chiesa equalized for the Italian side before the break and added another goal in the second half of the game. Adrien Rabiot has managed to up the result to 3-2 for Juventus in minute 117, which was still not enough for the team to catch up with its challenger.

Having already won the first leg 2-1, Porto has clinched victory by a 4-4 aggregate scoreline over the Turin giants, who needed a 1-0 win to advance with an extra goal necessary for every conceded one.
