Putin promises to increase gas deliveries to China

Supplies of liquefied natural gas, or LNG, to China will be boosted, Russia's President Vladimir Putin said in Beijing on Saturday. Speaking on the last day of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, he also said all orders regarding the delivery through pipelines would be fulfilled. The partner country requested higher volumes via the Power of Siberia, Putin added and denied that contracts regarding Novatek Pjsc's LNG from the Arctic would affect the other channel.

Turning to the global oil quota pact with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, the Russian head of state said there are no indications that Saudi Arabia would quit the deal, as it initiated it, nor that any other OPEC+ country would withdraw. Production cuts are valid until mid-year.
