Renault chair: No stress to assign new CEO

Renault chairman Jean-Dominique Senard (pictured) said on Thursday there is "no stress" to assign the new CEO of the company since the current arrangement is working fine. However, he added there is a "real desire" for partnership with Nissan to be successful.

Earlier this week there were reports claiming that Nissan wants to break an alliance with the French automaker amid turmoil over Carlos Ghosn's legal issues. However, Nissan strongly denied those reports saying "the alliance is the source of Nissan's competitiveness."

French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Tuesday that he believes Renault will name its new CEO in a couple of days.
