Renault EPS drops to €12.13 in 2018

Groupe Renault announced on Thursday that its revenues in the whole 2018 stood at €57.42 billion, a 2.31% decrease year on year and a slight drop from the estimations of €57.7 billion. The company's earnings per share (EPS) slid from €19.04 to €12.13 in the same timeframe. Renault announced that a dividend of €3.55 per share will be submitted for approval at the shareholders’ annual general meeting.

The Group recorded a net income of €3.45 billion, a 35% drop year on year. In 2018, worldwide sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles by Groupe Renault increased by 3.2%, with 3.88 million vehicles sold as the Jinbei and Huasong brands were integrated since January 1. Sales in Europe remained stable, increasing 0.5% in a market that grew 0.2%.

Automotive division's revenues, excluding AVTOVAZ, decreased 4.4% to €51.17 billion. The downturn in sales of the partnering companies was attributed mainly to the "closure of the Iranian market and the decline in European demand for diesel".
