Ross: Trump to hike China tariffs in case of no trade deal

United States Commerce Secretary told Fox on Monday that President Donald Trump will raise tariffs on Chinese imports in case the two countries fail to reach a trade deal by December 15.

The comments come just minutes after Trump said that his decision to sign the bill backing protesters in Hong Kong "doesn't make better" the chances of reaching a trade agreement with China.

However, Trump insisted that China still "wants to make a deal" and hinted there is still a possibility an agreement will be struck.
