Russia ready to work with China on 5G tech - Lavrov
Russia is ready to work with Chinese Huawei Technologies on developing 5G network, Interfax News Agency reported on Sunday citing Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
The possible cooperation between the two countries comes amid increasing tensions between the US and China regarding the 5G technology, with President Donald Trump insisting the Chinese company uses its equipment to "spy" on US citizens.
The Trump administration has been lobbying against Huawei for quite some time, with recent statements pointing that Washington will refrain from exchanging confidential data with any country that decides to develop its 5G network using Huawei as a supplier.
