Russia's Berlin envoy: No proof of murder involvement

There is no proof that members of the Russian diplomatic mission to Berlin were involved in the murder of ethnic Chechen Georgian national Zelimkhan Khanogoshvili that took place in Germany, Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechayev (pictured) stated on Wednesday.

The envoy stressed: "There is no evidence proving the involvement of Russian state agencies in this incident. Germany’s actions will have the most negative impact on Russian-German relations and a response will follow." Nechayev went on to accuse Germany of politicizing a murder investigation.

Earlier, Germany kicked out two Russian embassy's employees, saying the move was made after they refused to cooperate in the Khagonoshbili murder investigation.
