S. Korea adds record 1,896 new COVID cases

The figure for daily registered infections from COVID-19 in South Korea reached a new record high of 1,896 on Wednesday, continuing a negative trend set in the previous days. This takes the count of cases noted since the beginning of the pandemic in the country to 193,427.

The number of fatalities linked to coronavirus went up by four in the past 24 hours to amount to 2,083.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) added that 286 people remained in critical medical condition, which is a rise of 17 in comparison to the previous day.
