S. Korea mulls reimposing stronger social distancing - report

Health authorities in South Korea are allegedly coming under pressure to reimpose stricter measures for combating the spread of the coronavirus, Yonhap News Agency reported.

According to the media outlet, the surge in daily virus infections seen in major cities is posing a growing concern which may lead to some measures returning, but reportedly only in those areas that see a "sustained rise" in cases.

According to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), in the past three days, the country had seen over 60 infections daily for the first time since April, after new clusters were confirmed outside the greater Seoul area.
