S. Korea restricts visa issuance for some nations over COVID

South Korea announced on Saturday that it will restrict visa issuance for nationals from eight African countries with concerns about the new Omicron variant of COVID-19.

Additionally, the government in Seoul has ordered mandatory ten-day quarantine for arrivals from said nations, which include South Africa, where the mutant strain first appeared, as well as Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique and Malawi.
