S. Korean exports recovering, minister says
South Korean Finance Minister Choo Kyung-ho (pictured) remarked the country is seeing signs of recovery in exports despite them going down for the eighth consecutive month in May.
"Exports for May fell by two digits, but there were also some positive signs," Choo stressed at a meeting with economy-oriented ministers. "Exports to China, which have been considered some of the major drags on outbound shipments, reached the highest level for this year."
Cho also underscored that the exports of semiconductors grew on a monthly basis despite declining by 36.2% on an annual one.
