S. Korea's daily COVID-19 infections down to 39

Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) revealed the number of COVID-19 cases recorded during the day in South Korea dropped below 40 on Saturday, after an increase in daily infections was seen in the past few days as new infection clusters appeared in the country.

In the twenty-four hours since the last update, 39 new people tested positive for the virus taking the nation's total to 11,441. In the meantime, the number of nationwide recoveries reached 10,398, as 35 new patients were released from hospitals.

However, with no new virus-related fatalities confirmed the South Korean coronavirus death toll remained at 269.
