S&P reaches all-time high, continuing bull market

The broadest of the three main stock indexes in the United States topped its previous historic peak on Tuesday, giving more credibility to analysts who are waiting for the end of tomorrow's session to call the longest bull market ever, as the standards for the phenomenon aren't strict. The milestone was hit after almost seven months in correction, where the S&P 500 has soon declined almost 12% from the all-time high set on January 26.

The equity gauge jumped 0.57% at 6:56 pm CET to 2,873.23 points, led by Medtronic's jump of 5.82%. Pulte Group followed with a rise of 4.98%. Twitter, Viacom and Netflix were among the ten best performers. Their value rallied 4.34%, 4.03% and 3.73%, respectively. The S&P gained 7.47% since the beginning of the year.
